Elentaria vs Parseur: email parser or full system?
A sourced comparison of Elentaria and Parseur for order entry from email: what each automates, where the automation stops, Parseur's published page-based pricing, and when each one is the better choice.

Parseur is for a team that wants the fields pulled out of order emails and PDFs, sent to a spreadsheet, an automation tool or an API, at a price it can read on a website and test the same afternoon. Elentaria is for a company whose cost is not the reading but everything that has to happen once the order is read: the price check, the exception that needs a manager, the delivery date, the invoice and the reorder.
One is a parser and says so. The other is one system for commercial operations. Parseur's own sales order page ends with a step called export. That is where this comparison starts.
Parseur vs Elentaria at a glance
| Parseur | Elentaria | |
|---|---|---|
| What it automates | Extraction of fields from emails, PDFs, scans, images and spreadsheets, using AI engines or templates, then export to CSV, Excel, JSON, an automation platform, a webhook or an API | The commercial work across five connected stages: acquisition, deal-making, transaction, fulfilment and post-sales, including order processing, quoting, invoicing and reorders |
| Where the automation stops | At the extracted fields. Matching them to customers, products and prices, and creating the order in the ERP, is built by you downstream | At judgment. Quotes, orders and invoices are prepared for human approval, and anything outside the company's rules goes to the responsible person |
| Who it is built for | Any team with recurring documents, from one person up. On Capterra, 86 percent of reviewers are small businesses | Businesses where commercial work is heavy and repetitive: wholesale and distribution, manufacturing, B2B software, consulting and agencies |
| Deployment | Self-serve cloud, EU hosted, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR. Connects through Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate, Google Sheets, webhooks and a REST API | Set up by the Elentaria team around the company's own rules, terminology and approvals, working with the ERP, CRM, email and documents already in place |
| Pricing model | Published. Free at 20 pages a month, then monthly tiers by page volume. One page, email or spreadsheet is one credit | Not published. Scoped on a live demo, matched to the workflows in scope. No fixed plans |
| Best when | Layouts repeat, volume is modest, and someone can build the step from fields to order | The bottleneck is coordination across quoting, approving, invoicing and reordering, not typing |
What Parseur does well
The first thing is honesty about price. Parseur publishes every tier. From Europe the free plan covers 20 pages a month, paid plans start at 49 euros for 100 pages and reach 499 euros for 10,000, with higher tiers above that. Capterra lists the entry plan at $39 a month. A credit is a page of a PDF, and an email or a spreadsheet costs one credit whatever its length. Very few tools in this market let a buyer run a real test without a sales call. Parseur does, and that is worth a lot.
The second is range. Parseur reads emails, native and scanned PDFs, images, spreadsheets, invoices, receipts, bills of lading and more, with AI engines that read by meaning, templates you define by highlighting fields, and OCR in over 200 languages including handwriting. Its sales order page lists the fields it captures: order number and date, customer and account ID, ship-to and bill-to, line items with SKU, description, quantity and price, delivery date, PO reference and total. That is the full structure most order desks need.
The third is reach. Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate, Google Sheets, Airtable, Salesforce, webhooks and a REST API are all supported, so someone with a bit of technical help can get extracted orders almost anywhere. There is an optional human validation step "so a person checks each order before it moves on", which is the right instinct.
The track record backs it. Parseur has been in production since 2016, reports more than 100 million documents processed, and holds 4.8 out of 5 from 63 reviews on Capterra, where reviewers single out accuracy, ease of use and support.
Where teams start to hit limits with Parseur
The output is fields, not an order. Parseur does not claim to check a SKU against your item master, apply a customer's price list, convert units or create the sales order in your ERP. Its own four steps end with connecting to your ERP through Zapier, Make, Power Automate, a webhook or the API. Whoever builds that connection also owns the business logic inside it, and maintains it when a customer, a product or a price changes.
The work after entry is out of scope. Nothing on Parseur's sales order page covers the pricing exception, the credit hold, the delivery date that moved, the invoice that should reflect the revised quote rather than the original, or the account that has gone quiet. That is not a flaw in a parser. It is simply not what a parser is.
Cost follows pages. Every page is a credit, so price rises with volume. At 90 percent of your credits Parseur sends a warning, and at 100 percent new documents stop processing with a "Quota exceeded" status until you upgrade, top up or the cycle resets. Capterra reviewers name cost per page at volume and limited rollover as the main friction, along with a learning curve in writing AI extraction instructions.
It is built for everyone, which means it is built for no one industry. 86 percent of Capterra reviewers are small businesses and the largest sector is real estate. That breadth is a strength for a general tool, but it means the distributor or manufacturer brings its own knowledge of how orders should be checked.
The biggest difference
Parseur is organised around the document. Elentaria is organised around the piece of work.
Here is the mechanism. When an order email arrives, Parseur's job is to turn it into clean fields and hand them over. The job is done when the data leaves. Elentaria's job is to carry the request until it is finished: read it, check the account, pricing and terms, prepare the order for approval where the rules say so, route anything above a threshold or outside standard terms to the person responsible, coordinate the handoff to delivery, produce the invoice from what was actually agreed, and surface the reorder when it is due. Every step runs on the company's own rules and is recorded against the work it belongs to. People still own the exceptions.
This matters because the slow part of order handling is rarely the typing. APQC's benchmark for cycle time from receiving a customer order to completing its preparation puts the median at 24 hours, across 2,720 companies. Extraction takes seconds of that day. The rest is waiting for a price, an approval, a stock check or a reply.
We wrote about the wider version of this pattern in why your inbox becomes your order management system.
When Parseur is the better choice
Pick Parseur when the typing genuinely is the problem and the rest is under control. If someone spends hours a week copying orders from a few recurring layouts into a spreadsheet or system, and what happens afterwards runs fine, Parseur removes that work for a published monthly fee.
Pick Parseur when you need to start today. You can sign up, forward a mailbox and see results on your own documents without talking to anyone. Elentaria is scoped on a live demo and set up around your rules, which takes longer by design.
Pick Parseur when you have technical help and want control. If you have someone comfortable with Zapier, Make, Power Automate or an API, Parseur gives them clean data and leaves every decision about what happens next to you.
Pick Parseur when your documents are not only orders. Invoices, receipts, bills of lading, bank statements and resumes all run through the same tool on the same plan.
When Elentaria is the better choice
Choose Elentaria when a correctly read order is not the end of the story. When the price on the email does not match the contract and somebody has to decide. When the credit hold waits two days because nobody owned it. When the customer learns about the backorder from the delivery note. When the invoice goes out on the original quote. When the reorder due in March goes to a competitor in May.
Choose Elentaria when the logic you would have to build around a parser is the actual job. A parser plus a chain of Zapier steps can carry an order a long way, but every rule in that chain is one somebody wrote, tests and maintains. Elentaria is built to hold those rules, approvals and responsibilities in one place and apply them the same way every time.
Choose Elentaria when the work spans stages. Quoting, order processing, delivery coordination, invoicing and reorders are connected, and the costly mistakes happen in the handoffs between them.
Watch out for the obvious. Parseur publishes its prices and we do not. Parseur can be live this afternoon and Elentaria cannot. Parseur has 63 independent reviews and has been in production since 2016. And Elentaria needs your operating rules written down before it can follow them, which is real work that happens before the value arrives.
If Parseur is on your list, you are probably also looking at order entry platforms. We compared two of them without ourselves in the picture in Parseur vs Conexiom.
Frequently asked questions
What does Parseur actually do?
Parseur extracts data from emails, PDFs, scanned documents, images and spreadsheets using AI engines or templates, then exports it as CSV, Excel or JSON, or sends it through Zapier, Make, Power Automate, webhooks or its REST API. For sales orders it captures header and line item fields, with an optional human check before export. It does not create or validate the order in your ERP itself.
How much does Parseur cost?
Parseur publishes its pricing. There is a free plan at 20 pages a month, and paid plans are priced by monthly page volume, starting at 49 euros for 100 pages as shown from Europe, or $39 a month as listed on Capterra. Annual billing is up to 25 percent cheaper. When credits run out, new documents stop processing until you upgrade or top up.
Can Parseur replace an order management system?
No, and it does not claim to. Parseur turns documents into structured data. Checking that data against customers, products and prices, creating the order, and handling delivery, invoicing and reorders all happen in whatever system or automation you connect it to.
Can Elentaria and Parseur run together?
They can, because they attach at different points. Parseur would handle extraction and Elentaria the commercial work around the order. Most teams choose one owner for the order, though, since two systems touching the same order need clear responsibility for each step. Work it through against your own stack.
Is Elentaria better than Parseur at reading documents?
That is the wrong question to settle this choice. Parseur has processed more than 100 million documents and is built around extraction. If a test on your messiest PDFs is your deciding criterion, run it and expect Parseur to do well. The question worth asking first is whether reading documents is what your week actually costs.
If you want to see this for your own process, the wholesale and distribution page follows a customer request from intake to reorder.
